Mike Brubaker, Executive Director
We welcome Mike Brubaker as our new Executive Director for the Sherburne County Historical Society, which operates the Sherburne History Center. Mike assumed his new role at the Sherburne History Center on September 7, 2010.
Mike has 25 years of Public History experience in areas ranging from collections management to customer service, education programming and archival management. Mike has exceptional communication skills with more than thirty articles published in newspapers, newsletters and professional journals. Mike is also an accomplished speaker and has a lot of experience working with volunteers and staff.
Mike received his Masters in history from Utah State University and his work experience includes:
- Curator of Collections at Midway Village Museum Center in Rockford, Illinois
- Visitor Services Manager, Reference Manager and his last position as Genealogist/Archivist at the Atlanta History Center.
- Michael also is a member of the Georgia Genealogical Society in Atlanta.
Mike and his wife, Marca, relocated to Minnesota from Georgia.
